Accessibility
Building credit should be possible for everyone. Here’s how we design for accessibility, how we test and where we know we still have work to do.
Our commitment
We design and build this website, and our planned customer portal and mobile apps, to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Where we fall short, we want to know.
What we do
- Use meaningful page structure, with one main heading per page, landmarks and descriptive links.
- Support keyboard navigation throughout, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to main content” link.
- Test every text and background colour pair in our design system against WCAG contrast minimums.
- Respect your device’s reduced-motion setting by turning off animation.
- Give images, charts and illustrations text alternatives, and never rely on colour alone to convey information.
- Keep layouts usable at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom.
- Run automated accessibility checks on every page before changes are released.
Known limitations
- Automated testing doesn’t catch every barrier. A full manual audit with assistive-technology users is planned before launch.
- The calculator’s chart is summarized in text for screen readers; we’re working on a fuller data-table view.
Tell us about a barrier
